This is a limited edition print of the original art work entitled

"The Interloper".

This print is number 5 in this edition which will be limited to 100 prints.

Measures 21" x 16 1/2" image. With 1/4'' border for framing. For this very special edition I have sought the assistance of a top printer and he has produced these prints on canvas using the Giclee (pronounced zhee clay) process. The colour is guaranteed to last 70 years if hung out of direct sunlight.

The print can be framed without glass to take advantage of the texture and feel of canvas or put behind glass if you choose.

The print will be numbered and signed and a certificate of authenticity will accompany it.

History of this picture:



This work was inspired by the beautiful photograph that appeared in an Arabian magazine many years ago. The photo was taken by none other, than Judith Forbis, co founder of the World famous Ansata Stud in the USA, respected author of numerous reference handbooks on the Arabian and an authority on the Egyptian Arabian. Mrs Forbis told me that this was one of her favoutrite photos and I can see why.

The three mares are L-R Ansata Rhodora, Ansata Bint Bukra, and Ansata Sabiha. The foal is a bay filly by Ansata Shah Zaman.

These mares have all gone down in history as foundation stock for the Straight Egyptian Arabian and can be found in the pedigrees of horses through out the world.

I loved the interaction of the mares with the wee filly. It shows the natual beauty and grace of the Arabian mare as well as the herd dynamics as a new member is introduced to the clan.

Mrs Forbis was gracious enough to allow me to use her photo and has requested number one of the edition.
