Winter is really here and between pruning at the vineyard and feeding out morning and night, there is not a lot of time to do much.
But today we took time out to go for a trip inland and feast on the winter wonderland of North Otago and south Canterbury.
Jo Forrester sent me this fantastic shot of her Quassa gelding Kadin standing atop the hills overlooking the bays around Portobello, Dunediin where she resides. Kadin and Jo compete in show jumping and eventing as well as trail riding with success. This success is owed to Jo's patience and skill and just a little bit of talent on Kadin's part.
The gang is back at Ostler Vineyard pruning the Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris grape vines.
